Ayurvedic view of the formula

In Ayurveda, digestion is not only the breakdown of food. It is closely connected with Agni — the digestive fire that determines how well the body processes, uses and assimilates nutrients. If Agni is too weak, a person may feel heaviness after meals, slower digestion, bloating or an excessive feeling of Kapha heaviness. If Agni is too sharp, the theme of increased acidity and Pitta heat may appear.

Digestion Support is created as a balancing formula: it contains both Triphala fruits and aromatic digestive spices. Therefore, the product is not only a “sharp” or only a “warming” type of formula. It combines gentle stimulation, the direction of intestinal comfort, the theme of acidity balance and the logic of reducing Kapha heaviness.

The dosha formula is Vata = Pitta = Kapha –. This means that the product is traditionally viewed as balancing in the direction of Vata and Pitta, while being especially useful in the theme of reducing Kapha heaviness, sluggishness and accumulation.

Amla, or Emblica

Amla, or Emblica (Emblica officinalis), is one of the best-known Ayurvedic fruits and an important part of Triphala. In the Digestion Support formula, a standardized extract of emblica fruit is used, which in the daily dose contains 80 mg of tannins.

Long pepper, or Pippali
