Report on Dr. Vikram Chauhan’s Visit to Latvia

14–15 October 2025, Jūrmala

On 14–15 October 2025, the Latvian resort city of Jūrmala successfully hosted the seminar “Ayurveda Today with Planet Ayurveda – 2025.”
The event was conducted by Dr. Vikram Chauhan, M.D., B.A.M.S. — Medical Doctor and Founder and Chief Ayurvedic Physician of Planet Ayurveda in Chandigarh, Punjab, India.

This was already Dr. Vikram’s third visit to Latvia since the establishment of the Planet Ayurveda Baltic representation in 2014.

The seminar took place in one of the most beautiful and inspiring conference halls in the Baltics — on the top floor of the Lielupe by Semarah Hotels in Jūrmala.
The event brought together over 30 participants from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Belgium.
The training followed a lively and interactive format.

Seminar topics were chosen in advance through online voting, reflecting the most relevant health interests and the growing demand for natural wellness methods in the Baltic region.
During the sessions, participants asked questions, and Dr. Vikram shared his 25 years of clinical experience as an Ayurveda physician.

Among the participants were Ayurveda practitioners from Rīga, Jūrmala, Preiļi, Rēzekne, as well as guests from Belgium.
The seminar also attracted great interest among Planet Ayurveda customers, Ayurveda and Panchakarma therapists, yoga teachers, aromatherapists, wellness consultants, bathhouse specialists, healers, dietitians, and cosmetologists.

As part of the visit, Dr. Vikram Chauhan met with H.E. Ms. Namrata Satdeve Kumar, Ambassador of India to Latvia, at the newly opened Embassy of India in Rīga.
Dr. Chauhan presented his authored book “God’s Manual of Healing”, along with its Latvian translation titled “Dzīves vieduma rokasgrāmata – Ievads Ājurvēdas zinātnē”, to the Honorable Ambassador of India to Latvia.
The book is also preserved in the National Library of Latvia, recognized as part of its national literary collection and valued for its contribution to holistic healing.

The meeting was attended by Aleksandrs Lahtionovs, official representative of Planet Ayurveda in Latvia and the Baltic States, and Dr. Tatjana Tračevska, Ph.D. in Biology, microbiologist, and Ayurveda practitioner.
The discussion focused on the promotion of Ayurveda and Yoga education in Latvia, potential cooperation initiatives, and future joint events with the participation of the Embassy of India and Planet Ayurveda Latvia.
The Ambassador expressed readiness for cooperation and support for projects promoting traditional Indian knowledge and culture in Latvia in collaboration with Planet Ayurveda.

A friendly luncheon was also held with Mr. Kully Singh, owner of the Singh’s restaurants in Rīga and a respected member of Latvia’s business community.
Dr. Vikram and Mr. Singh, both natives of Punjab, India, exchanged experiences on the business environments of their respective countries and discussed cultural and family traditions, enjoying a conversation in their native Punjabi.

The visit concluded with personal meetings with Planet Ayurveda clients, during which Dr. Vikram shared his experience and offered individual advice on diet, lifestyle, and Ayurvedic products for maintaining health and balance.
